Man I miss my high school friends a lot. It sounds weird to say since I’ve had a much more fun time since I’ve cut back hanging out with them, but I never meant to alienate them. It bummed me out today on my walk back from my exam. I just thought how much fun I had visiting them last year, and now that I live in Austin I don’t even see them at all. It hit me how much I’ve just avoided them all because I thought they weren’t taking advantage of their time in college.
While I was thinking about this, I ended up calling up one of my closer friends from high school who lives one floor above me in our dorm. Even though he lives right above me, I haven’t seen him since his woman’s birthday like 2 months ago. It’s pretty pathetic. But he wants to chill instead of going downtown. So I tell him we should smoke some hookah in my room since I don’t want to leave my shisha here to get old over break. We ended talking like we always did, it wasn’t weird or anything. It was like we chilled everyday like we did over summer. It was a pleasant surprise for sure.
I guess if you’re really friends with someone then it doesn’t matter about how much time you spend with them or if you guys talk a lot. If you guys are really close then it won’t matter.

#18 BAGELS! YESSSSSSS! haha. My room mate and I have been making bagel runs since last semester. We would wake up early before class at CCCC just to hit Einsteins lol. We picked some up to celebrate the end of the semester.

So I’m done with finals. I didn’t keep up with my 365 yesterday because I was studying all day, running between my friends house and the law library and what not. I also rediscovered the fun of the using the text-to-speech function in my mac haha. I had an entire conversation with someone using text-to-speech at the house. It was pretty lame haha.
Oh and I got a ton more camera effects for my mac because I’m lame. Other than that, nothing haha. Just going to work the rest of the day and possibly go downtown tonight to celebrate no

So I can’t go downtown tonight. Why? Studying. But here’s where things get interesting. My friend who was supposed to be home when I got back from dropping some people downtown decided to leave and not inform me. So I have someone elses car, locked out of the place I was supposed to be studying in, and I’m sitting here inside the car while its raining outside. Awesome right?
Anyway, today one of my coworkers was talking to my about my major. He was like “you ought to think about changing it to public relations.” He’s a Texan, so ‘ought’ was actually used haha. He told me I should change it to public relations. I think I’m a pretty shy and introverted person when it comes to new people. He was like “the way you chat it up with the folks in front of the counter is hard for most people to do. You just find something you guys have in common and run with it. Most people are scared to do that. Afraid they might say the wrong.”
Idk, but maybe he’s right. I don’t think its all that awkward to start up a conversation at where I work, and maybe it would work if I did it for a living. I guess I’ll see how things pan out and if I really do like advertising. If I don’t, I’ll give PR a try.
